3 Fun Things To Do in Manchester

By LiveWell Community

Manchester is full of vibrant and lively entertainment to keep you occupied every night of the week. At LiveWell we decided to find out 3 fun activities to do around the city. Come along with us to discover exciting events and memorable experiences!

Frog and Bucket

Our first outing was the Frog and Bucket - known for hosting the likes of the country’s leading comedians, Jack Whitehall and Peter Kay. It is Manchester’s longest-running alternative comedy venue presenting fresh new comedy every Monday night.

We thought we’d attend the famous ‘Beat the Frog’ stand-up comedy night. The gist of the night consists of up to 10 acts, that are given 5 minutes to test their comedic skills. The plot twist of the night is that the audience is in full control of who gets to stay and who has to go.

Our overall experience was one of the best Monday nights out Manchester has to offer. Although the atmosphere can get a little awkward when voting people off stage, the night itself was a fun and enjoyable time. If you are looking to enjoy a few beers and a few laughs after work, this is the place to go. Discover the up-and-coming comedy acts in the city.

The Cube Experience

Located within the Manchester Arndale is The Cube Live Experience which is based in a new venue called Urban Playground. The concept of the game is similar to the show itself; As you enter the cube you are given several challenges to complete. If you are looking for an interactive and social activity The Cube Experience does not disappoint. It is engaging and fun, with guaranteed laughs throughout the whole time.

During the challenges, you may face a little pressure (in a good way) to complete each task. It is an excellent way to bond with family and friends with food and drinks available on site.

Snowboarding at Chill Factore

Amazingly, there is an option to go snowboarding in Manchester. For those who are seeking the thrill of an adrenaline rush, get yourself down to Chill Factore for the day! The facility offers you an option to ski or snowboard down a slope of snow with lessons available for beginners. The venue is huge and offers a selection of food and drinks options - ideal for a whole day of snowboarding fun. It is suitable for all ages and any level of experience.

It seems daunting to try something new for the first time, but the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff helped alleviate that. It turned out to be one of the best experiences with the option to complete different levels! It is a fun day out and a brilliant place to learn and improve your confidence in snowboarding or skiing.
